Clarenville, NL, May 16, 2025

The ParticipACTION Community Challenge presented by Novo Nordisk returns this year to help everyone enjoy the many physical, social and mental health benefits of getting active together!

This national physical activity and sport initiative encourages everyone in Canada to get active throughout June, ultimately recognizing Canada’s Most Active Community and awarding it $100,000 to support local physical activity and sport initiatives.

To help rally the CLARENVILLE AREA RECREATION ASSOCIATION and win the grand prize this year, we need as many people as possible to participate!

  • Local governments and organizations: Register your June physical activity programs, events and/or initiatives on the ParticipACTION website starting on April 17, 2025. Then, throughout June, track the number of people participating in them to help our community compete for the title of Canada’s Most Active Community.
  • Individuals: Sign up on the ParticipACTION website starting on April 17, 2025, and pledge to get active throughout June where you live, learn and/or work!
  • Join the Clarenville Area Recreation Association and the Town of Clarenville in the movement to build a stronger, healthier and more active Clarenville. To win the challenge, we need everyone to do their part and sign up. Tell our chairperson, Councillor Keith Fillier, that we want in and are ready to win!
